Washington Corrections Center

The Department of Corrections Washington State protects the public, employees and offenders from victimization. Based in Shelton, Wash., the department offers rehabilitative programs for offenders, including basic education, mental health and substance abuse treatment, life skills, victim empathy and work experiences. It also holds offenders accountable for repairing the harm they have caused through restorative justice initiatives, such as performing community service, paying victim restitution, family support and correctional supervision costs. In addition, The Department of Corrections Washington State conducts a range of programs that include offender re-entry, prison industries, affirmative action and benefits of hiring offenders.
