Center For Human Development, located in La Grande, Ore., provides community-based health and human services to individuals, groups and families in need. The center offers various treatment services, such as alcohol and drug, integrated rehabilitative services for disabled and mentally ill adults. It also provides behavioral health and vocational services for disabled people, and outreach services. Center For Human Development provides intensive home-based services, including skills training and parenting education, and also provides assistance and support to the needy families or individuals. The center also offers public health care services, such as adult immunization, childhood immunization, and prevention programs for various diseases, including HIV and AIDS, cancers and diabetes. Center For Human Development also offers various health care programs and services to women and children, including nutrition education, dietary counseling, and supplementation of nutritious foods.

The Eastern Oregon Alcoholism Foundation, also known as EOAF, is a nonprofit corporation that works with state and local government agencies and private organizations to combat the devastating effects of chemical abuse on victims. It is a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility that provides structured, supportive and affordable drug-free housing options for families. Founded in 1960, the organization provides detoxification, residential, and outpatient alcohol and drug treatment services for children and adults. The Eastern Oregon Alcoholism Foundation administers Jennings House, which is a program that includes residential treatment services for men with the disease of chemical dependency and can accommodate up to 15 men.

Established in 1949, Catholic Family & Child Service is a social service provider to families, especially young women experiencing unplanned pregnancies and needing help to consider an adoption plan. Based in Richmond, Wash., the service is available in 10 locations across central Washington and offers child care services, referral and training resources and parent education. The counseling programs assist children and the elderly with day to day problems, life adjustments and mental health issues. The elder services' program assists low-income elderly people remain home and provide opportunities to unite the generations through volunteering. Catholic Family & Child Service takes care of people of all faiths, ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds.
