The Whidbey Animals' Improvement Foundation (WAIF) is a non-profit organization established in 1990, dedicated to improving the lives of homeless companion animals on Whidbey Island. WAIF provides essential services such as food, shelter, veterinary care, and nurturing for displaced pets until they can find loving homes.
In addition to adoption services, WAIF offers resources for pet owners facing the challenge of rehoming their pets, including the Home to Home platform and Rehome by Adopt-a-Pet. The organization also honors the traditional lands of the Salish-speaking Lower Skagit people, acknowledging their historical presence and stewardship of the area.
