Vision For Independent Center

Vision for Independence Center (VIC) is the only low vision center serving Yakima and Kittitas counties, providing essential services for over 15 years to individuals whose vision remains impaired despite medical treatment and prescription glasses. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, VIC offers solutions for people of all ages, helping them maintain their independence through specialized low vision clinics and a dedicated store for assistive devices.

At VIC, trained optometrists assist patients in finding tools such as magnifiers, lamps, and glare shields to optimize their remaining vision. The center also hosts community events like the Annual Dinner in the Dark to raise awareness and support for those affected by vision loss due to various eye diseases.
