Technology Access Foundation (TAF) is a Seattle-based organization dedicated to empowering students in public schools by creating inclusive and equitable learning environments. Morningside Academy serves the educational needs of students diagnosed with learning disabilities, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders. The academy focuses in the areas of language, facts, skills, concepts, principles, problem solving and organizational aspects. It also offers classes in literature, social studies and science. Morningside Academy provides a reading program that includes phonemic awareness through auditory blending and segmenting and alphabetic principle. It also offers sessions related to sound-symbol correspondence, textual blending, segmenting strategies and reading fluency.
