Thornton Creek Elementary School, founded by teachers in close collaboration with families, is one of the first alternative schools in Seattle, with a history spanning almost fifty years. Known for its integrated, child-centered principles of Expeditionary Learning, Thornton Creek fosters a strong learning community committed to great teaching, deeper learning, and anti-racist, loving community.
