About a month ago we stayed at "The Yurt at Rivendell" White Salmon, WA. The yurt was OK-the cleanliness was not. When we arrived there was mice droppings in the Utensils drawer, the cookware...

History
The Yurt at Rivendell began as an intended rustic retreat for Roy Conant (co-owner of Lothlorien Woods Tree House Hide-a-Way and Tree House Tranquilatree). But, the more Roy worked on the structure, the more it spoke to him, letting him know requisite added touches and features. Finally, after two and one-half years, the Yurt relented and let Roy know it was ready -- but, quite unexpectedly let him know he could not reserve it for himself, but was to share the realization of his dream and the Yurt's direction with the outer world so others could appreciate its beauty and charm, admire the woodwork, and experience the pleasure of the lovingly constructed Yurt built largely from lumber sensitively selected from the forests of Lothlorien.
