Morningside Academy serves the educational needs of students diagnosed with learning disabilities, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders. The academy focuses in the areas of language, facts, skills, concepts, principles, problem solving and organizational aspects. It also offers classes in literature, social studies and science. Morningside Academy provides a reading program that includes phonemic awareness through auditory blending and segmenting and alphabetic principle. It also offers sessions related to sound-symbol correspondence, textual blending, segmenting strategies and reading fluency. The academy writing program includes various descriptive, narrative, explanatory and persuasive writing classes. Morningside Academy also offers a summer school program that provides morning and afternoon programs in reading, language, writing and mathematics. The academy is located in Seattle.

The Secondary Bilingual Orientation Center (BOC) is an educational institution that offers a range of learning and extracurricular opportunities for immigrants from Southeast Asia. It has an annual enrollment of more than 290 students. The school serves students in grades 6 through 12. The Secondary Bilingual Orientation Center s academic curriculum includes reading, math, social studies and physical education. It administers the English as a Second Language. The school maintains a library that provides a variety of educational resources and materials. The Secondary Bilingual Orientation Center has science and photography clubs, as well as provides guidance counseling sessions. It also offers opportunities for students to participate in sports activities. The school organizes parent-teacher conferences. The Secondary Bilingual Orientation Center is governed by Seattle Public Schools.
