Sunnyland Elementary School

Built in 1926, Sunnyland Elementary School enrolls more than 350 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s teaching staff conducts educational classes in music, art, physical education, English, reading, writing, social studies and math. Its staff also includes library media specialists, speech and language pathologists, teachers, instructional assistants and nurses. Sunnyland Elementary School operates a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising activities and special programs. Its facilities include a cafeteria, auditorium, library, gymnasium and staff workroom, as well as several classrooms and meeting rooms. Located in Bellingham, Wash., Sunnyland Elementary School is a part of the Bellingham School District, which serves over 10,000 students.
