State of Washington Child Support Division
The Child Study Treatment Program, commonly referred to as CLIP, provides the most intensive inpatient psychiatric services available for youth aged 5 to 17 in Washington State. With a total of 109 beds distributed across secure and structured settings, CLIP focuses on treating youth diagnosed with severe psychiatric and behavioral disorders through individualized, evidence-based practices.
Funded by Federal and State Medicaid dollars, CLIP aims to stabilize and reintegrate youth back into their communities as swiftly as possible. The referral process involves collaboration with local Managed Care Organizations to assess and address the unique treatment needs of each child before admission.
