North Central High School, established in 1908, is a public school serving the educational needs of students in grades nine through 12. The high school has an enrollment of more than 1,400 students and is a part of the Spokane School District. It provides instruction in art, applied technology, business and marketing, fitness and health, language arts, math, music, science, social studies and world languages. The school offers several extracurricular opportunities to students, such as band, chess, choir, drama, international club, National Honor Society and yearbook. It also provides the medical services of a throat specialist twice a week. The school s Blue and White magazine features various articles on things, such as literary, editorial, athletic, current events and a joke section.
