History

Spectrum was incorporated July 1978, although its roots date to 1975 when Spectrum's founder began consulting with employers to originate qualified retirement plans, after the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 was signed into law. Since its inception, Spectrum has sought to provide independent unbiased advice to clients. Independence has differentiated Spectrum over the years and continues to be something we feel passionately about. Our transparent fee-for-service engagement model assures objectivity when advising and servicing client accounts. Spectrum's client engagements are characterized with one principal purpose in mind -- precisely satisfying our clients' business objectives. In 1996 the firm was an industry pioneer at providing daily valuation and online services to 401(k) plan participants. The technology infrastructure enabled participants to access their retirement plan accounts online, something taken for granted by today's standards.
