South Seattle Fur Babies

History

Fur Babies has had many manifestations over the years, though it only became named Fur Babies in 2017. Dogs have always been a big part of owner/operator C.J.'s life. He's always had dog &/or cat of his own & often cared for his neighbor's & friend's pets as a child. In 2006 he got a job at a pet resort in San Clemente, CA where he first started to learn training techniques & how to read behavioral signals. He then moved to NYC & got a job with NYC Dogwalkers where he put those new skills to work. In 2014 he moved to Seattle and started his own company that was originally called C.J.'s Pet Services. However, after moving to his new home in SeaTac, he noticed another pet service company with a similar name, so his brilliant wife came up with a new moniker for his company... and that's how Fur Babies was born!

Specialties

Providing the finest care for the finest pets... we'll do a really good job with the rotten ones too! With over 13 years of experience in the business, Fur Babies is comprised of CJ and Lori Thom. They met in 2013 in New York City, moved to Seattle in 2014, married in 2015, and bought a house in North Seatac in 2017. They have one fur baby of their own, a Norfolk Terrier named Tug. He's a nugget. CJ graduated from UCLA in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in American Literature and Cultures. He went on to write and produce plays in San Diego, Los Angeles, and New York City. He has nearly 13 years of experience as a pet care specialist. When he's not snuggling something fuzzy, CJ is a tour guide for a local Seattle Underground Tour. Lori has a BA from Fordham University and currently loves her day job as the executive assistant for the University of Washington's Air Medical division. She spends her free time petting and cuddling different floofs and helping CJ with all the different chores that come along with being a new home owner.
