Sorenson Early Childhood Center

The Sorenson Early Childhood Center is a public school that serves students between the ages of 3 and 5. It offers special education, preschool, Ready Start and Head Start programs. The school s staff is comprised of speech and language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, vision specialists, audiologists and psychologists. The Sorenson Early Childhood Center offers programs to improve the cognitive abilities and motor and adaptive skills of students. It has parent-teacher association that organizes walk-a-thons, picnics, staff-appreciation luncheons and other fundraising events. The center hosts monthly training sessions for parents and community members on a variety of topics, such as emergency preparedness, emotion coaching and advocacy. The Sorenson Early Childhood Center is located in Bothell, Wash., and is a part of the Northshore School District.
