Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue (SCVSAR) is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to searching for and rescuing individuals who are lost, missing, or injured in both urban and wilderness areas of Snohomish County. With over 300 committed members, SCVSAR performs more than 120 life-saving missions annually, contributing over 9,500 hours of service each year.
The organization offers a range of emergency response capabilities, including wilderness and urban search, K-9 search, helicopter rescue, and technical swift-water and mountain rescue. Operating in collaboration with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office, SCVSAR relies on donations from the community to sustain its vital services, all of which are provided free of charge.
