Kirkland Public Works Department is one of the divisions operated by the local government of Kirkland in Washington. The department is responsible for constructing and maintaining the public infrastructure of the city and focusing on public utilities management for city residents. Its various units include the public works engineering and maintenance divisions. The department s engineering division provides administrative support and direction. It also provides public service, project review, traffic analysis, administration of utility fees and contracts, capital planning, project development, construction management and inspections affecting public works improvements. The department s operations and maintenance division controls daily operations and maintenance activities of Kirkland's streets, water, sewer and storm drainage system. The division maintains public works systems for the city.
