Side Sewer Permits works under the Department of Planning and Development of the city of Seattle. It handles the issuance and inspection of more than 3,000 permits annually for side sewer construction, as well as provides coaching and side sewer information to customers. Side Sewer Permits offers services for new installations, alterations, repairs, capping, relocations, removals, and conditional and temporary dewatering work. It has a site development team that reviews and inspects site development applications for construction projects located in the city. Side Sewer Permits offers services for preapplication site visitation, environmentally critical area review, temporary erosion and sedimentation control, grading and drainage review, and temporary shoring and excavation.
