RNR Automotive Refinishing

Rick Scott, founder of RNR, learned the automotive painting trade from some very talented craftsmen and brought his skills back home to the Northwest in the seventies. After working for a few local shops (including British Motor Cars, who brokered quite a few exotic automobiles ) Rick, Darrel and their paint crew became locally famous for their skills at restoring the finishes on some of the finest Northwest collectors cars. The natural next step was to open a business and in 1979 RNR was born with the idea in mind to be the best at refinishing the finest exotic cars in the area (of which there were many ). It worked, and a dedicated clientele grew and has remained loyal throughout the years. Since then, RNR's focus has shifted more mainstream. People with specialty cars also had nice, but more ordinary, vehicles that needed high quality repairs. The exotic car enthusiasts grew up, had families and traded in their Ferraris for Mercedes station wagons. The need for collision repairs grew during this period and RNR hired the best body technicians to handle the need. As cars became more expensive and more complicated, so did RNR. The three-man shop grew into a 32-person company with state-of-the-art frame and welding equipment, spray booths, prep stations and a detail shop. Throughout their growth, four things have kept RNR strong, competetive and respected: hiring only the best people, turning out the best product, remaining honest and caring about the customers.
