It all began in 1984 when Robert Ray became taken with bowed string instruments, particular by the history, art, and tradition of French bow-making. After years of apprenticing, traveling, studying and practicing his craft, Robert decided to open his own shop. The violin shop opened in Olympia in 1999 and we proudly continue to bring world-renowned expertise to our local community. As a local shop, we take great pride in supporting our local musical community. Spent a small fortune to restore my mothers violin to send to my niece for her to play in her high school orchestra - but totally worth it. The shop keepers are friendly and know their craft.
