Great public boat launch close by. Close to Gas works park. Easy access to I5 and Highway 99. Very close to the University of Washington. There is a Beautiful view of Seattle from lake union....

Puget Sound Yacht Club, established in 1954 on the Northern Shore of Lake Union, is a family-oriented cruising club offering a variety of engaging social events, boater education seminars, and outreach programs with partner organizations in the boating community.

I'm from Hawaii and I can go jump on a boat. Here in Washington I have to own a boat to go sailing.
