History

I opened The Competitive Edge in 2005 to bring dancewear to Vancouver, WA. I started out making gymnastic leotards as a hobby in 1995 after enrolling my daughter in gymnastics. From there word of mouth spread and I was making leotards for a lot of the girls at her gym. The main attraction of my leotards continues to be the fit! It was suggested to me from one of the gym moms--who also had her daughter in dance--I should open a shop and carry dance items such as shoes, tights, leotards etc. This way they can shop in town and not have to go out of state for their purchases. After spending a few years planning, The Competitive Edge was opened. The Prizm brand is made in-house, with fabric and notions purchased in the United States.
