The Perkins House is dedicated to discovering, collecting, preserving, and disseminating knowledge about the history of Whitman County, while also connecting it to the broader historical context of its neighboring regions and the State of Washington. As a 501(c)(3) organization, the Washington County Historical Society (WCHS) invites community involvement and contributions, which are tax-deductible.

The Perkins House is currently undergoing renovations and offers various tours, including historic tours and ghost hunts at St. Ignatius Hospital. Through these initiatives, the organization promotes an appreciation for local history among residents and visitors alike.

This was such a great stop on our self guided tour of Colfax! The gentleman who was working gave us a very detailed tour of the house and cabin and was so helpful and friendly. 10/10!
