Parnassus Cafe & Galley has been located in the basement of the Art Building on the University of Washington campus since the 1950's. Originally selling coffee, cigarettes, and art supplies, Parnassus has turned into one of the most unique places on campus to grab a bite between classes. Completely student-run and independent from every other University cafe, Parnassus serves Fair Trade and Organic Certified coffee and teas from local roaster Tony's, as well as other cold beverages and a variety of snack and lunch options. All proceeds from sales go directly to School of Art student scholarships. The cafe also operates an art gallery, providing a space for students to exhibit their work.
As one of the oldest coffee shops in Seattle we are proud to serve several Tony's Fair Trade espresso and drip coffee blends and Morning Glory Chai, as well as a wide selection of pastries and deserts from Julia's Bakery, Mighty-O Donuts and Little Rae's Bakery.
