The Northwest Mountain School is a mountain guide service based in Leavenworth, WA owned by IFMGA guides, John and Olivia Race. Our services include guided mountaineering, rock climbing, ski touring, ice climbing, and avalanche education. Our experience ranges from technical ascents in Washington and Alaska to 8000-meter peak ascents, and the rare sailboat based polar ski tour. We also train military special-forces groups, and regional climbing clubs. We hold AMGA Rock, Alpine, and Ski certifications and have been in continuous operation since 1994. We specialize in teaching rock climbing, mountaineering, ski touring, and provide AIARE avalanche education. We are also one of the leading US companies offering week-long ski tours in Europe and Japan.
