I completed my undergraduate degree at Duke University in Electrical Engineering, and then received a Masters of Engineering at the University of Utah in Biomedical Engineering. I did research and development in engineering for 10 years before going to medical school. I am a third generation OB/GYN provider; my father and grandfather were OB/GYN's, and my grandmother was a nurse midwife.
