Dr. Seagren is a board-certified general surgeon with sub-specialty fellowship training in breast surgical oncology and breast reconstruction. The patient experience can be difficult at times, especially when faced with a diagnosis of BRCA+ or breast cancer. As a breast surgeon, Dr. Seagren is often the first physician a woman will meet when faced with a new diagnosis of breast cancer or after discovering that her family has a deleterious gene mutation that significantly increases her risk for breast cancer (e.g. BRCA, CHEK2, PALB2). Dr. Seagren will guide you through this process and will help manage your treatment with additional physicians. She advocates on behalf of her patients, strives to always utilize the most advanced diagnostic tools, provides access to the most promising clinical trials, and ensures her patients always receive the highest level of surgical care.
