History
My training career actually started with people not dogs. Certified in health and fitness, I designed private workouts for busy men & women. In 2001 I took my puppy Cody, to a group class and I was hooked. I knew I had stumbled upon my new passion & career. I enjoyed teaching group classes for years, while I continued my practical training and education...And then came Emmy my 6wk. old aussie. Wow, was she a wild one. Long story short, Emmy had fear & aggression issues that forced me to become a better trainer. Had I used force based training and the misunderstood dominance propaganda to fix her, I'm certain we wouldn't have the relationship we have today. After going through the battles and frustrations with Em, and coming out on the other end with a great dog and buddy, I decided I wanted to embark on a more customized type of dog training. Hence, Manners Unleashed was born. I've enjoyed the journey & look forward to working with you and your dogs in the future.
