Magnolia Community Center

The Magnolia Community Center offers a variety of programs and special events for people of all ages. It features a playground, gymnasium, playfield and multipurpose rooms. The center offers a variety of aerobic and fitness activities, yoga classes and tai chai for youths. It also conducts quilting and pottery classes. In addition, it provides opportunities for youths to participate in a variety of sports activities, such as soccer, track and field, gymnastics and tumbling. The center provides before- and after-school care programs for children between the ages of 5 and 12. Its playschool program emphasizes the development of socialization, age-related cognitive and physical skills, and includes storytelling sessions and games. In addition, the center offers rooms on rent for various occasions, such as wedding receptions, graduation parties, birthdays and company meetings. The Magnolia Community Center is located in Seattle and is managed by the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department, which manages more than 400 parks and open areas within an approximately 6,200-acre park system.
