Not a "five star" hotel in the normal sense of the word, but if you miss the way country motels were in the 1960s (like the Bates Motel, without any taint of the creepyness), this is your place....

Because it's located on the border of Olympic National Park it probably doesn't get as much traffic as it deserves. From the road, you can't even tell it's there so don't blink or you'll miss it....

This hotel is more in the three star realm, but I'll give it an extra star for being in a beautiful location. It's clearly seen better days. We stayed in room two, which I suspect is the only room...
