Kinesis Corporation

Kinesis Corporation was founded in February 1991 with the objective of developing a computer keyboard optimized for comfort and productivity. The company s first Kinesis contoured keyboard was launched commercially in 1992 and is patented in the United States and other countries throughout the world. The Model 100 was one of the first production-model ergonomic keyboards in the United States, which was based on a traditional letter layout. Kinesis has also established other products, such as one of the first general-purpose foot switches to supplement keyboard input, an adapter which allowed personal computer keyboards to connect to Macintosh computers and PS/2 keyboard adapters for Sun workstations. In 1996, Kinesis created a family of contoured keyboards to better meet the diverse needs of its customers. The company is located in Bothell, Wash.
