History

Moving to Key Biscayne, Florida in 1984 I bought my first house, and set about gutting and renovating it. After a lot of sweat equity, it was sold 2.5 years later at a large profit. This set me up to become a house flipper which I continued to do until moving to Seattle in 1997. I successfully renovated and sold at a profit over 5 homes. In Seattle I began design school and worked for an interior designer with a retail space. From design school I learned to make my own furniture, color theory, drawing, two dimensional design, business practices and many other very useful skills. I discovered my passion! When my family finally settled in Hanover, NH in 2003 I set about buying and renovating a very large home in town. In the midst of the worst recession I was able to sell the house at a large profit and started my own interior design business. From large commercial project spin offs from DHMC to residential spaces I have done it all and I love it all! Let me help you.

To me, composition is key; I'm adept at originating a new design plan for your business or reworking existing products in your home. As I develop a space that reflects your needs the goal is to provide you with a design of appropriately scaled furniture, flooring,rugs, lighting and accessories, all enhanced with a beautiful sense of color. Years of construction experience makes me a skilled project manager for small to medium sized construction projects. Need help selecting the contractor, architect, or overseeing the architectural plans/permitting, and managing your budget? I can do that for you. If you can't find the perfect sofa or reception desk I have designed both of those and have the contacts to make your dream a reality. In order to stay current and competitive, I diligently research the market for trends in both the design and home construction fields. In addition, I have knowledge of both antique and mid-century modern furniture, and enjoy mixing trophy pieces into your design plan to create an eclectic look.
