It all began in 1938 when Ivar Haglund opened one of Seattle's first aquariums on Pier 3 (now Pier 54) and began selling seafood dishes and chowder to satisfy hungry patrons. Ivars is a PNW establishment. I would not say it is the best fish and chips in town, but they are solid and fast. I like the fish and chips and my husband likes the fish sandwich.
