Founded in 1919 by Levi Hutton, The Hutton Settlement is a nonprofit, nonsectarian program that provides residential care for children and adolescents. With its facility registered as one of the National Historic Places, The Hutton Settlement operates from endowments and charitable contributions. The facility offers food and educational services, and organizes a range of recreational activities, such as swimming, arts and crafts, movie nights and outdoor trips. The Hutton Settlement is certified by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, and it is a member of the Alliance for Children and Families. It is located in Spokane, Wash.
