Claire and Charlie relocated from Brooklyn with the dream of opening a handmade jewelry store within 2 years, and because of an amazing opportunity, did it in less than 3 months. Claire missed working in a shop so much, that she wanted to open her own, rather than designing and producing work in a lonely studio.

HONED by Claire Kinder is a boutique specializing in supporting independent, handmade jewelry lines from across the continent, as well as selected lifestyle essentials, from Bichotan Charcoal to handmixed local perfume. Owner, Claire Kinder Barrett, has a small studio in the back of the store where she works creating many of the works available in HONED as well as other boutiques from NYC to San Francisco. She offers free simple sizings and alterations to any newly purchased piece from HONED, as well as custom work. Claire has had 7 years experience in fine jewelry sales, and 12 years as a jeweler, and loves helping people discover future heirlooms that fit into their lifestyle.
