Locally owned and operated by Lois Etienne, an RN. Lois saw her grandmother care for her grandfather. Then her mother cared for not only her own mother but her mother-in-law, both of which lived into their 90's. Lois had the privilege of caring for her own mother before her death. This is a very personal business. Home Instead Senior Care makes a difference in people's lives. We allow the daughter who has become a caregiver to mom, get to return to that 'daughter' role. We provide respite so that wife can just go to the back bedroom and get some sleep while we care for her husband with Alzheimer's. Our goal is to help seniors age in place as long as it's safely possible by assisting with things like meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, bathing assistance but maybe most importantly, companionship. We know that most folks want to stay in their own homes, even through illnesses. We work with medical staff to make sure that, not just the disease specific needs are being addressed, but that the personal issues of the unknown, fear, and aloneness are met with a trained home care aide that is handpicked for each client as a companion.
