Founded in 1908, Washington State Nurses Association is the professional organization representing more than 16,000 registered nurses in Washington State. Based in Tukwila, the firm advocates for the improvement of health standards and quality health care for all people. Additionally, it promotes high standards for the nursing profession and advances the professional as well as economic development of nurses. Washington State Nurses Association has more than 75,000 licensed registered nurses. It works in partnership with the American Nurses Association (ANA).
