HistoryHoodsport'N Dive was started by Ron Ault around 1995 in Hoodsport, WA. It started as a propane, burger and air fill operation. He left the burger and propane business to focus on air fills for local divers using Sund Rock. Ron worked with Bob Sund to gain access to the Sund Rock by land. Ron also spend time working and training with local commercial divers. In 2000 Ron teamed up with Don Kinney who owned the Yellow House in Hoodsport. They started as friends, became business partners, and then Ron decided to retire from business ownership in 2013. Ron continues to work as a commercial harvest dive instructor and fill cylinders on weekends. But he has left the day to day operations and headaches to Don.SpecialtiesWe offer Air, Nitrox, Trimix, and Argon fills in a timely manner. We also have an extensive line of recreational, technical and Commercial scuba gear for sale, as well as for rent. We stock a full compliment of dive gear for the commercial harvester and offer many services in support of our local commercial harvesters: SSA Training, Air quality testing, Umbilical pressure tests and commercial harvesting boat safety inspections.
