Dunbar Gardens, located in Mount Vernon, Washington, is the creative sanctuary of willow basket maker Katherine Lewis and her husband Steve Lospalluto. Together, they cultivate selected varieties of basketry willow, which are hand-harvested, dried, and sorted to create stunning, functional baskets that showcase the material's natural beauty.

Katherine is one of the few artisans in the United States actively growing and crafting her own willow, with several of her pieces acquired by the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Through her craftsmanship and occasional teaching of basketmaking classes, Katherine shares her passion for this traditional art form with enthusiasts across the country.
