It is a division of CSL Behring, which is a plasma biotherapies company that is headquartered in King of Prussia, Pa. CSL Behring researches, develops, manufactures and markets biotherapies used to treat serious diseases. It operates a manufacturing plant in Kankakee, Ill. The company also operates facilities in Marburg, Germany and Bern, Switzerland. Its products are used in the treatment of people suffering from rare diseases, such as primary immune deficiencies, hemophilia, von Willebrand disease and genetic emphysema. CSL Behring is a part of CSL Limited, which is a biopharmaceutical company that was established in 1916 and employs over 7,000 associates worldwide.
