Colman Park is a historic 24-acre park in Seattle's Mount Baker neighborhood, designed by the Olmsted brothers. It features natural areas, urban forest views of the Cascades, Lake Washington, and Mount Rainier, along with a lakeside swimming beach, community garden, and walking trails.
Friends of Colman Park (FoCP) is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the stewardship of Colman Park, having begun its community-driven efforts in 1975 and adopting its official name in 1993. FoCP engages in native habitat restoration, historic preservation, public education, fundraising, and community service projects in collaboration with Seattle Parks and Recreation and other stakeholder groups.
