The Clallam County Department of Community Development is responsible for comprehensive planning, processing development and building permits and managing environmental health programs. It also performs the functions of the County Fire Marshal. The Department offers assistance with a wide range of land use, development and zoning. The Clallam County Department of Community Development's additional responsibilities include administration, building and fire marshal and managing natural resources, such as watershed planning, salmon recovery, Lake Ozette Sockeye recovery plan, groundwater and other water quality and natural resource planning and monitoring.

Pretty confusing courthouse. No front lobby person and the directory hard to understand. Part of this building is really old, part newer. Treasurer, Auditor, and Assessor right near fourth street...
