Carlos Green, MD

I provide diabetes care and education to adults with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. I provide medical nutrition therapy to adults with prediabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, congestive heart failure, celiac disease, gout, GERD and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

I began my medical career as a US Navy hospital corpsman with Marines in Afghanistan. After the military, I continued my medical career as a physician assistant. I am from the Pacific Northwest and have worked in primary care, military medicine, and community health. I believe that educating patients is one of the most important parts of primary care. My goal is to help patients better understand their health and help them manage their medical conditions.

I've worked in the medical field for 30+ years. I shifted my focus to diabetes care in 2010, after realizing many patients with heart and kidney disease also have diabetes. Noticing the lack of support, I went back to school to help improve the lives of these patients. I have vast experience managing all types of diabetes and its complications. I also treat high blood pressure, cholesterol, obesity, and thyroid disease. I'm a Certified Trainer and an expert in interpreting continuous glucose monitors and insulin infusion pumps.
