Auditor Office

Located in Tacoma, Wash., the Pierce County Auditor's Office offers a range of public services. It conducts elections for taxing districts and performs licensing tasks. The office s elections division maintains voter registration files, verifies signatures on initiatives, referendums and petitions and processes absentee ballot requests. It also produces voter pamphlets for elections, assists with redistricting requirements and provides federally required voter education. Auditor s Office s recording and licensing division is comprised includes Real Estate Excise Tax, Vehicle Licensing and Animal Control sections. It processes title transfers, issues license plates and various other permits for vehicles. Additionally, it assists with passport applications.
