Assessment & Treatment Associates is a state-certified chemical dependency treatment agency offering a full range of outpatient services including individual, group, couples and family therapy to assist clients in addressing problems with alcohol and drugs. Along with a commitment to provide the highest quality of care, we have some unique features that we hope you will consider in choosing your service provider.We believe that alcohol and drug problems involve a complex combination of neurochemical, behavioral, and social factors that require an individualized treatment plan for every client. Our program structure provides an array of recovery and treatment resources that will be able to meet individual client needs.Though we embrace an "abstinence" philosophy, we understand relapse can be an occasional response to the challenge of maintaining sobriety. Our approach to these instances is never punitive and we seldom require repetition of treatment modalities already successfully completed. We have a relapse program in place that addresses the factors leading to resumption of use.We support participation in self-help groups but do not require acceptance of a 12-step program philosophy. We offer alternative group participation that allows a client to find sober support in a context compatible with their values and beliefs.The primary client right that directs our treatment philosophy is self-determination. Recovery is an individual journey that is unique to each person and the ultimate success of treatment derives from the client's exploration of their pattern of abuse or addiction as the architect of their recovery.We believe that professional practice requires professional education and the majority of our staff, in addition to being chemical dependency professionals, are certified as mental health or social work practitioners and have completed graduate level education.
