Established in 1995 by drive and motion systems veterans, Applied Motion Systems was launched to develop high-speed composite can sealing systems for the food packaging industry. This first system doubled traditional production throughput for this type of product while allowing the use of lower cost materials. The company has also developed technologies and manufacturing processes for paper converting, veneer processing, mega-scale computer numerically controlled machine tool controls, glass container manufacturing and engineered wood products industries. Applied Motion s systems are used to manage both simple and complex manufacturing processes in small and large companies. Industries include high-tech and semiconductor, pulp and paper, consumer goods, research and education, aviation, building products, packaging, transportation, utilities and entertainment. Clients have included Hewlett Packard, Honeywell, Kimberly Clark, Georgia Pacific, Nike, Procter and Gamble, The Boeing Company, International Paper and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
