Anacortes Public Works

City of Anacortes Public Works Department operates, maintains and enhances city infrastructure. The department offers an operations division, which provides water, street, storm, sewer and solid waste services to various communities in the city. It also offers equipment services, a subdivision of operations, which offers various services, including writing bid specifications, purchasing city vehicles and equipment, and providing maintenance for the city s fleet. Equipment services fleet includes weed eaters and aerial ladder fire trucks, and its service shop performs more than 400 services every year. It also outfits the city s police vehicles, which includes light bars, wiring-in controls for electrical accessories, installing consoles, siren, partitions and safety seats.
