Alliance For Education

The Alliance for Education is an independent, local education fund that collaborates with Seattle Public Schools to address significant challenges faced by students, families, and educators. They develop, invest in, and partner with programs that promote equity for Seattle students, believing that every student in the diverse community deserves an education system that supports them equally. With a focus on proven best practices, they have distributed $4.7 million to students and families in need, raised $3.7 million for the creation of the Seattle Public Schools' Office of African American Male Achievement, and invested $190 million in Seattle Public Schools since 1995.

The Alliance for Education is committed to creating an equitable and excellent education system for all students, particularly those who are most affected by inequity. They achieve this through initiatives like the Seattle Teacher Residency, which recruits and trains diverse educators to work with students impacted by inequity, and the Right Now Needs Fund, a unique program that addresses immediate basic needs of students and families in Seattle Public Schools.
