African Community Housing Development (ACHD) is a community-based organization led by visionary women of color, dedicated to providing holistic and culturally specific support for individuals and families of African descent in the Greater Seattle Area.

ACHD's mission is to empower African Diaspora immigrant and refugee communities by offering opportunities for health and housing stability, economic development, high-quality education, and access to legal services, with a vision of an informed African immigrant and refugee community actively engaged in the holistic development of their families, communities, and environment.

Established in 1975, SouthEast Effective Development is a nonprofit community development corporation. Based in Seattle, Wash., the organization works with community groups, stakeholders, University of Washington Students and professionals.
