At Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital, our specialized rehabilitation services address a wide variety of illnesses and injuries that can happen to children from infancy to adolescence. We provide physical, occupational and speech therapy and care for difficult conditions such as swallowing disorders, trauma and spinal cord and brain injury. We understand that treatment can be overwhelming for children. Our family-focused care providers take a warmhearted, child-friendly approach. We’ll involve you and your child’s other caregivers at every step. Therapists provide specialized, child-oriented versions of treatments, including physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapies. Providence therapists help children work to the best of their abilities so they aren’t frustrated after a therapy session. Your child will gradually build skills and confidence and learn to function as independently and freely as possible.
