In business since 1979, McKinney and Company s headquarters is in Ashland, Va. The firm has additional offices in Williamsburg, Va., and Panama City, Panama. A privately held, independent company, McKinney and Company was formed as a Virginia partnership in 1979 and incorporated in 1995. It employs approximately 100 people. It is organized into three groups: sites, buildings and consulting. The sites group is concerned with urban and community planning/economic development assistance; land planning and landscape architecture; civil engineering; and concrete projects. Its buildings group is focused on architecture, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering, and facilities, programs and project management.
